6.4l Power loss

My 08 6.4l starts, idles fine but has no power when I depress pedal. I drained water separater, replaced fuel filters and all fluids are at the proper levels. When going up a hill near home plumes of white smoke and no power. Any ideas of the problem? Thanks in advance.

Not yet. I'm going to mechanic tomorrow to try. I'm just trying to get some ideas now but I'll post codes tomorrow.

Injectors or HPFP are my thoughts.

Any coolant loss?

Perhaps EGR valve or coolers are the issue.

Be sure to mention that. It points to EGR coolers or the valve. They will need to pressure test the system.

Sometimes moisture buildup in the cac will cause the white smoke as well but you have power loss too so that points to other causes.

What is your fuel ecomony and frequecy of regens?

12mpg and nothing out of ordinary on regen. Except other day when I had trouble climbing hill. I've seen people write about limp mode. Well thats wat comes to mind when trying to get home that day. It goes but at own speed...Truck is straight stock dually 4x4 , 4.10 with138K.
