Question Mobil1 Synthetic Gear Oil LS 75W-90 in Front Diff ok?

Hi Guys,

I am looking to change out the Front and Rear Diff oil in the coming weeks. I want to go with Mobil 1 Synthetic. But I noticed that the 75W90 that Mobil 1 offers has LS additive.

Will this in anyway hurt the Open diff I have in the front end of my 06 Ford F150 4x4? I wouldn't think so...

That should be fine. The LS additive is a friction modifier that makes the oil more slippery so the LSD clutches can slip more easily around turns, and only engage when heavy pressure is applied to them from the side gears.
