Tire Size
I have 285/75R-16 Cooper AT3's on my truck with stock plow suspension (X code front springs). I have no rubbing or problems. However, they do not fill the wheel wells. According to Cooper, they are 1" wider and 1" taller than the 265's. The next size up is 315/75R-16, and they are 3" taller and 2" wider than the 265's. They will probably hit the leaf springs on turns. Unfortunately, the only way to find out is to try them on. Also, anything larger than 285's will require wheels wider than the stock 7".

285's since stock rims are pretty narrow... 305's and 315's will balloon pretty good if you put them on stock rims. I had 315's on 8" wide rims (the minimum recommended width) and that was still a bit narrow. They also squirmed pretty good. Put my new 315's on 10" wide rims and now they wear even and hardly squirm at all. Pretty happy!

My 1999 250 s duty, came with 35/12.5r18, that rub bad, found set of 265/70r17 custom wheels, with 1/2 tread dept. Would this be a good way to go? Will be pulling trailer with it. Also concerned with looks, as the 18, look so good, but too much offset, stick out, and rub l alot, just looking for thoughts ,I dont like the 16in wheels, they look to small, thanks
