It just started doing it the only way I can seem to figure out how to explain it is at about 50 to 60 under slight aceleration or uphill it bucks or jerks like you have a trailer jerking. No check engine light this thing is driving me nuts someone please help
It could be spark plugs, plug boots, weak COP's, or fuel related. We need some codes in order to be more helpful. You won't likely see a CEL unless it's emmission related.
Had exact same scenario. Never got a CEL.... Eventually, after months of this , I got a CEL for cylinder misfire , changed plugs and wires and went away.
Not to steal the thread, but my buddies truck has been doing it for over a year now. He wants to do a fuel pump, but a fuel pump wouldn't hold on that long I wouldn't think.
Using the Ford Emissions and Powertrain Control shop manual or a similar manual, I would diagnose by symptom. You'll find the culprit using the shop manual steps without spending a bunch of money on parts.
Having same problem 2006 with 88k miles, has been doing it a while now. I have an edge and yes noticed it happening at around 1500 rpms and under slight load coming into the throttle. I reprogrammed it to level 2 and has diminished a liitle. Anyone have any ideas where to test.
A friend of mine has a autotap scanner, any ideas what to look for?
My buddies truck is doing it also I just found out and he's got a light on. But coil packs can be pretty pricey so I just noticed a slight miss everyone once and awhile at idle so I'm just gonna do the plugs and fuel filter on both are trucks and see what happen
hey guys- i have a 2004 ford f150 lariat 5.4L 3v with about 65K on it. under slight acceleration between 40-50mph my truck would buck as well. My check engine light just came on so i took it to the shop and they said that cylinder 1 was missfiring. SO i had em replace all 8 spark plugs and the whole shibang. $650, and none of them broke (thank god). Now the truck is running perfect and no more problems, hope this helps.
