It is about 99.9% sure I will not be in attendance this year. I was going to try to make it despite going to Vegas right afterwards with my lovely wife but when my heat pump took a dump the night of the 4th of July that ruled that out. Times are hard and we need AC here in TN. So I no longer have RRE in my budget this year. You folks enjoy and I will miss seeing you.

 

well that sucks you can't make it but I'm in tn to and yes AC is a must this time of year. Maybe you and eddie can make it next year. Going miss ya tho.

. Being a licensed contractor is there anything i can do to help. What happened to it?

 

11 year old compressor locked up. System had plenty of charge and was not in thermal protection. No amount of hammering or whatever electrical tricks my friend tried would get it to go. I was not in the mood to pay $1500 for a compressor for an 11 y/o unit using the old refrigerant. (They have jacked up the price of those old system parts as they no longer make them). So I opted to have him install a new unit which came with a 10 year warranty and uses the new refrigerant. My friend and coworker is a licensed HVAC guy who does this on the side.

And thanks to everyone who replied or will. Hate to miss one but chit happens. I will miss everyone but am sure you all will have a great time. I always did.

Man hate to here that but sounds like your friend helped out. Sorry you can't make it and that I could not help.

 

The cost now will save him down the line anyways. More effiency in the new units, cheaper parts and they are so much easier to work on sometimes.

 

Got in last night but started at gregs cabin in the woods
Checked in early afternoon and we will be back with a batch of Jersey Lemonade after dark
