Transfer case and Royal Purple Questin

Went out today and did my weekly under inspection under the vehicle.. Looks like the transfer case is leaking oil. According to the chart I will post in a bit it says use "XL-12, ESP-M2C166-H, Transfer case fluid". I want to drain and refill the case with what I know is in it not what someone has told me is in it. What do you recommend for it?

Royal Purple... They are a sponser of the bass tournament series that I fish. IF I buy there product and finish in top if i sign up for there program they cut me a check for 25k. That would be enough for my second X. However, part of it is I have to buy there product. Well, this year they have changed there product line and opened it up to all there products instead of just 2-cycle oil. What do you think about there product, Motor oil, lubes, gear oil?

A lot of people use it around here. I don't have any experience with it.

Have only heard good things about Royal Purple. Have it in my wife's RX300 transfer case and rear end. Will be putting it in her transmission soon too. If you have a transfer case leak and you put in full synthetic, I have heard (not sure if it's true) the leak may get a little worse because the synthetic is so pure. I plan to convert the Ex to all Royal Purple in the driveline as the existing fluids age out. I just don't plan on using their motor oil.

If you have a chance for a sponsor reward, GO FOR IT!

It's awesome stuff that works well, you'll pay a little more for it, but it's worth it.

Royal Purple ATF overall is good stuff. Suitable for the transfer case, but they recently changed their formula and it wouldn't be my first choice for a transmission.

Good to see them sponsoring fishing given how their marine products have taken off. I ran their FC-W rated oil in my F200 Yamaha outboards. After 100 hours the oil analysis numbers on the FC-W Royal Purple and Amsoil blew away the synthetic Yamalube.

I heard nothing but good things about there boat oils. I havnt ran it personally through the last few years on this tour as I dont use enough oil to justify buying $100 dollars of it a year.

Talked to the tranny shop this morning it has an appointment monday morning to go see them to get this fixed under warranty.

I hear ya... Sometimes I think my Outboards are in a race with my 6.0 to see who can have the most expensive oil change. But moisture is a killer when these things sit, and the FC-W spec is supposed to combat that. A friend of mine is a Yamaha mechanic with a 3 week wait-list to see him. And when I found out what he charges for a rebuild I decided I'd be buying the best on the market. I have one engine pushing 1800 hrs, and the last compression test indicated it was experiencing no issues.
