Fuel line **options** stainless vs. Gates 4219D MPI vs. PTFE etc...
I have replaced my tanks with new steel tanks, senders and am now looking at replacing my fuel line.
I have looked at PTFE with stainless steel braided covers --- sounds great but the marine boat people that use PTFE tape or glue say that diesel fuel swells and seeps the PTFE. ???
--never seen the gates fuel line but heard it was the best...
--What about just buying a spool of steel tubing?? harder to join and probably will corrode...
let me know if you've got any experience...i'm leaning towards the PTFE...just not sure if it will hold up.
Iwouldnt mind going all rubber either though...just using barbed or crimped fittings...

There's nothing wrong with going all rubber. Just be sure to get a diesel rated fuel injection hose like 30R9 and you should be fine. Goodyear makes one with a blue interior lining that is also compatible with Biodiesel. I've bought this line from Autozone before since they had it on the shelf.
