Trouble Free Success Story....

So many people posting problems, thought I'd share a decently positive 6.4 experience.

My buddy has an 08 anniversary edition, he stretches maintenance way over recomended, doesn't use additive, doesn't fill fuel tank, doesn't drain FWS and other than cracked DPF, and radiator replacement, he's had 70,000 miles of trouble free performance. Not too bad for complete neglect of a troublesome vehicle.

Do away with the the DPF issue I have been satisfied with my truck. I had the initial bad injector but ever since then no other stuff.

I still have the ac gremlin but it has been quiet for a long time knocking on wood.

Well I run my tank down all the time and don't use an additive either.

But i do drain my Fuel/water separator and keep up with the maintance.

But I tow pretty heavy so that is a must.

Great story!

Almost 5 years now. Trouble free! Used the Spartan with DPF tunes after 20,000 miles running Stock. Running a straight pipe now with appropriate tunes 210 or 250. Just love this truck!

45,000 (much of it towing at the max load) totally trouble free miles, the last 5000 deleted. Oops, had the rail fuel filter replaced under warranty a couple years ago, the valve wouldn't stop leaking. That was it, no radiator problems, no injector problems, nothing bad to say. No wrenches, no limps home and no coolant loss, although I thought I had one once when I didn't. Oh, by the way I do maintain the S**t out of it.

140,000km's of trouble free driving here (Tuned since roughly 7000). Did have a belt tensioner go bad and 2 axle dust seals but the dealer replaced both - no questions asked. Couldn't be happier with the truck.
