transfer case or transmission

alrite been drivng a couple weeks now with a bearing wine. i jacked it up and put it in drive on jackstands and found it was coming from that area. the t-case has been shot for a while and could hear the chain dragging the inside of the case. today i decelled to take a turn and when i tried to accelerate it wouldnt, i got stopped to my dismay i had no gears foward or reverse, i put it in park and heard the park locking mechinism grinding, so i know all the internals are rotating. could the plantary drive in the t-case cause the truck not to have forward or reverse if it went bad? also i tried selecting 4wd hi n low and no change. any help would be awesome

Think it makes much difference?
Still needs to come out for repairs by the sounds of it.
Good luck.
