Actually you don't need either to do an oil/egr cooler since the intake gaskets are easily reusable. I PORTED a set of intake gaskets and had no problems with them leaking.

Ok so how I understand it is 9433-BJ is intake kit without actual long manifold gaskets.

...........................and the 9439-AA are the actual intake manifold gasket or gaskets? I mean there are 1 or both sides in that box?

Sorry for the confusion

The intake gaskets are only $13 apiece though .........

The kit contains:
turbo drain tube o-rings, EGR coolant hose, EGR gaskets and o-ring, turbo mounting bolts, turbo oil supply gasket and o-ring

Partsman my luck I will have to do it twice if I dont use new gaskets. It would help me sleep better at night too.

I understand. I'm just saying that they're VERY tough and seal very well if you can take a grinder to them and they still work just fine. My first set went through 4 sets of head gaskets.

It would be wise to have I would think. Unfortunately you may even need an new IPR valve if you aren't clean enough (and it is HARD to be clean enough).

Probably not a bad idea to just buy the IPR valve & have it on hand especially planning to keep this truck forever. Thanks for the advice! I need to spread the love before I can rep you some more.

Thats how I am too

I Knicked a intake gasket when I pulled the intake out so I was glad I had it. maybe I should hgave pulled more of the wire harness out of the way IDK it would have helped when I pulled the intake manafold out

when I reinstalled it I set the Intake manafold back in there and then slid the Gaskets Inbetween the heads/intake manafold really easy with a egr deleate I will reuse them next time with this method

What site are you looking them up on?

Earlier I posted how one site showed the same part number listed twice, one with the dashes and one without. Different descriptions for them. That's just nonsense.

I bought mine from Tousley and that is what I used for my 2006 F250. That is why I questioned 1badhabit so hard though (the BJ part coming up as an E-series makes you wonder!!).

After questioning it, I found where I kept records and that is what Tousley sold me (and it was what I needed) when I did my head gaskets. I called them w/ my parts list just to MAKE SURE I got it right!

Exactly Good Point Mark

Iv seen folks on here replace there IPR valve only to trash it upon the first start after the work

Couple tips here

1. put the turbo drain back in Before you clean the engine valley and before you pull the oil cooler this helps keep Junk out of the HPO system

2. Have a Shop Vac there and pull the Oil Cooler SLOWLY and suck the Oil as it comes out its a Pretty Good GUSH of oil

3. Once the oil cooler is removed suck the rest of the oil out of the HPO reservoir with the shop vac and DONT wipe it down with a rag or any cleaners (unless theres a ton of junk there mine was pretty clean) then just replace the SS HPO Screen call it good

4. I found that Compresseed Air does a good job to clean things just cover any and all openings first

Maybe I just got Lucky but I did all this and the IPR was fine and I didnt have to go back in shortly after for a Jacked up IPR
