Took me a bit of looking to actually see it because I thought it was a V10 on first look.

Wow, havent been around this site for a while, then wasting time tonight I find this!! I have a 2008 Lariat F350 CC dually short bed- the last year taht Ford made them. I searched all over the US for mine, and at the time, there were only 4 left (new) in the US on dealer lots, 1 each in GA, MA, MI, and I think one in CA. I flew out to Lansing from PA to get mine, because I knew they weren't going to make them anymore. When Ford started making these (early 2000's, but I don't kniow exact year) they were offered in 6 colors. Since they didn't sell many, they offered them in 05-08, BUT you had a choice-black or white! They still couldn't justify the extra cost to make the special fender/bed configuration because they still didn't sell enough of them. When they first made them, they were taking one around to the auto shows and calling it the "Tonka truck". Easiest way to tell them apart from a long bed is the fuel filler door. On a LB, it's in the side of the bed, a shorty has it in the fender. Love mine, has a 6.4 that sucks way too much fuel but it will pull ahouse! Got a 41 foot toyhauler and the truck don't ever complain about moving all that weight!

Doesn't get gas mileage= uses FUEL!! HA ha!! Never had a problem with the motor, just the front calipers and sliders freezing up because it sits all of the time. Got it in Jan. of 09 and it still only has 19200 miles on it. Got an Escape that gets 20 mpg, gas and a V Star bike that gets 40. No sense driving a truck that gets 10 mpg and the fuel costs .70 a gallon more. When it was new, I still got almost 10 towing, but now it is more like 8-8-1/2. Had a freind make me an aux. tank, other than that it's bone stock. 30 gal. in the factory and a 60 gal. aux,- that gets your attetion at the pump! Never wanted a long bed and at least I can fit this one in the garage. I already had a slider hitch, so when my sales guy told me they weren't making them anymore I bit the bullet.
