Who will finish it?

With my health being bad I can't help but wonder who will finish my truck if I can't. I'm hoping to get it on the road before my time is up. It makes me sad to think no one might finish it and be proud of it the way I would be. Thanks for the ear just thinking out loud. Randy

Do you have a family member that would be interested in it? Would be a great bonding experience...

Who will Finish It

I hope you can find a family member that can take over should something prevent you from finishing your truck.

I think about who will finish mine should something happen to me before mine is done. I am lucky, I am a reasonably healthy sixty year old and have a Son-In-Law and an 18 year old Grand Daughter that have been helping me and they would be proud to finish mine.

I don't know your situation, but, you sound concerned and you probably don't need the stress from this kind of worry.

Hang in there - There is nothing I can say that will help the situation, but just know that there are a bunch of us here at FTE that are thinking about you and care.

hang in there randy. maybe some of the fte's in your area can give you some help this spring to get that puppy on the road. i think it would be smart for all of us to think about what should be done with our trucks. it's great if it can stay in the family, but that depends on someone having an interest in it. my son in law joked "at about the time you get that truck done, we'll be taking the keys away from you." we also need to think about the fact that if it has significant value, the spouse might not be a position to give it away. i think all things being equal, if no family is interested, and a friend helped work on it. i would consider suggesting the family sell it at a bargain price to the friend. let's hope randy not only gets his done, but puts some miles on his truck.

one quick story on an edit: in 1972 my wife's grandfather passed away. he had a '65 Ch**y 2 door Impala hardtop with 50k on it. we expressed an interest in it and my wife's grandmother said she couldn't afford to give it away, how about $200 for it. i didn't try to dicker on it.

Trying to get at least a rolling chassis done. That way they can finish the body work a little at a time. The engine ( 390) is just about finished.
