power window problem
2008 Expedition
Drivers window quit. Cable broke. Got new regulator assembly and disassembled the door today and replaced the regulator. Now it doesn't work at all. Other 3 windows work.
Removed the "black box" from the motor (the one that's just on the driver's motor. Jumper cables directly to inner terminals on motor and the motor turns. So, my problem is either in wiring or the "black box" which is part of the motor assembly. I have no clue how to trace the wiring in this setup. Am I safe to assume there's something burnt inside the box and replace it? Or is there something else to diagnose the problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The motor was working when the regulator/cable broke. The window slipped down so I pushed it up and taped it there until I had time to fix it. The switch may have inadvertently been pushed a few times since.? I'm thinking either the switch or motor went in the meantime and I'm sort of betting it's the motor.? It's been taped for a month or more. The other three work fine.
