Pictures of my 1965 F100 Restoration

Hello all,

I thought I would post a link to my photobucket album showing the restoration of my 1965 F100. I took the thing down to bare metal, replaced all the rust, powdercoated the frame and metal parts, put on disc brakes, rebuilt the motor and it is now going back together (quite a job).

I got that last piece of Ford Factory vinyl from Kevin at Original Auto Interiors.

I painted the truck back to it's original two-tone beige/white but we did it in a matte finish so it looked sun faded. Didn't want a shiny look.

Also, used as many original chrome/stainless as possible and didn't buff it shiny. I want the truck to look weathered.

Questions:

1. I am interested in a period correct spotlight for it. Anyone know a parts number or where to look, other than eBay?

2. I am interested in adding period correct fog lights for it. Anyone know the part number and where to look?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Mark

Mark, Looks like you have many days of hard work involved. Work looks great.

The 2 items are aftermarket so grab what you like.

Wow, great lookin' work you've done there, and I like the mentality...IMHO though, fog
lights and that spot light would look a little off....keep it slick Mate! Spot lights are for
Police cars.

Welcome to Unity Manufacturing Company

i think unity still makes a retro spotlight for your truck but not sure (expensive), if they do i'd wonder if the chrome is chromed plastic. got my vintage roof mount spotlight of ebay and rebuilt it with new parts from the unity company since they still make most anything that wears out on them.
used ones on craigslist also.
nice truck btw.

Wow what a great resto, not something that can be accomplished in just a few months, it's good to see where another classic treasure will remain on the road.

Are the Unity Fog Lights the Right ones

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I looked on the unity website and saw the fog lights that pop up in a search for 1965 F100 fog lights, however, they have a part number of 520AP-F 5" Round 12 Volt Amber Foglight with Ford Ornament (Pair).

I had read in a different thread that the factory fog lights were part number (C5RZ15200A) and driving lights with part number (C5RZ15200B) available. This came from NummersDummy (I think that was his name).

Help!!!!!!!!!

Wheels and Tires Question

Glad to share my hard work. It's looking so nice and I'm soooo excited to drive it around this spring/summer. Lot of hours for sure.

The wheels and tires that are on there are just place holders. I need to get correct wheels and tires.

Can someone give me the breakdown of factory wheels that will work. I read or heard that due to the fact that I did the disc brake conversion, that none of the Ford factory wheels will work. Is that right?

Is there a look-a-like wheel that is aftermarket that still will accept the "coke bottle" stainless steel hub caps that I purchased (hopefuly can use)?

And then there is tires. What was the brand and size Ford offered on the 1965 F100?

Lots of questions. Thanks as always.
