Vacuum leak, and strange bolt hole

Got lucky, found a car to borrow for a few weeks so i can tear my truck apart in the garage, and really work on it. Tonight i was pulling all the plugs, and noticed a gap where two things bolt together, and where alot of vacuum lines meet. heres some pics.

The bolt hole where its pulled away is strange because the largest bolt that fits through the outer hole, is to small for the threads inside. so i cant figure out how to bolt it back down. Anyone know what i need to button this back up?

It sounds like someone has stripped out the EGR valve to upper intake bolt hole.
The only thing I can tell you is put a helicoil thread in the hole and use a bolt for the helicoil thread.
If you can not do that then you need to get a replacement upper intake.

ok, took the EGR valve off, the right side of the gasket thats there was missing, and the angle it was at was preventing the bolt i was trying to put in it from grabbing, so i just need a new gasket, and it'll all go together, thank god it wasnt stripped.
