Looking to buy 06 PSD

I have a 95 PSD that is getting old and found a 06 PSD w/ 90k on it for a good price. Don't know much about these except what I have heard people bad talk them. What to look for when I am looking at it? If I did get I would buy a extended warranty for it.
Thnx

Go for it, great truck. The thing I'd look at is if the STC fitting has been upgraded.Get an oasis and report back, the 06 07 were sorted pretty well.If you can get a scangauge 2 and hook it up on a long test drive and check out the delta of oil and coolant and that will give you an idea of the health of the oil cooler. The coolant bottle should have no chalky residue around the cap if there is a half inch of coolant in it.

wat brickie said. lol. also, the 06 and 07 should be in slightly better condition than the earlier 6.0s. however, tat is all very subjective as each and every owner uses the truck differently. for the delta spread, it should be no more than 15 degrees. normally, it should be between 6 to 7 degrees without towing. may be less too. though i havent seen it.

also, check our tech folder for other info as it might be useful to u when u try to determine wat to look out for when u go see the truck.

best of luck to u, ramrod7373.

Quick easy couple things I missed on mine. Look at oil filter cap make sure it is ford cap. Should be about two inches tall of what can see if it three inches it could have wrong filter if person didnt know and bypassing dirty oil under filter. Then count seconds takes for it too start. then drive it gett it good warm. shutdown let sit for ten minutes or so and then see how ong takes to start back up. This will help identify if have high pressure oil leak.. Mine hd both these problems. that cost me time and money.right of bat.good luck.
