1992 F150 MAF Conversion Transmission options

I have a 1992 f150 that I've been doing a lot of work to recently and now is the time to ditch the speed density setup. I've been contemplating between carb and maf. My truck has the e40d, so here's my question. Im looking at the maf kit from dunne rite performance and im wondering if I should get the first kit which doesn't include a trans controller and run an aod(basically a foxbody setup) or the second kit which is quite a bit more expensive but includes a controller for the e40d. Any suggestions on the aod vs e40d? Thanks for the help

The AOD is a crude old mechanical beast compared to both the E4OD and 4R70w, but it will save you a lot of gas compared to a C6 if you do any highway driving and it vastly simplifies a MAF conversion. I have been living with an AOD for quite a while now and at times I'd like to have a transmission that has a lockable/unlockable torque converter, a features that provides the effect of an extra gear between 3rd and 4th with the computer controlled transmissions while it's a hugh jump with the AOD... something that drops the motor right out of the powerband unless you really gun it before the upshift. A plus for the AOD is it's not really that hard to make it reliable and parts and rebuilds are relatively cheap, and with a 351 in front of it the wide ratio shift pattern doesn't matter as much because the motor has enough grunt to power through it. Depending upon your setup it could be a good option.
