Dead Battery
sorry not IDI related.
discovered today that the battery in my dad's car is totally dead. a brand new duralast battery. the other day i was doing some testing of the rear defroster. i left the key on for 4 days.
i hooked the bat up to the charger and had it on trickle for 2 hrs. that did not start the car. i read in my book that i have for school that a totally dead battery should be charged for about 8 hrs when charging around 5 amps. so tomorrow before i go to work i am going to charge the battery again and then when i get home from work try starting the car.
do those numbers sound about right? what kind of chances am i looking at that the battery could be no good now?
thanks
