Noobie / old FTE member

Hello Arkansas Chapter Members! New to the FTE Arkansas Chapter but not new to FTE! I live near Searcy and have been away from The FTE site for many years. I was one of the original members of the FTE listserve when Ken Payne started this website in the late 90's. Thought I would get involved with the site again.
Currently own a 1976 F250 Highboy, front clip is off and motor build taking place now. I also have a 1970 F250 and a 1975 F250 Highboy which I will be
combining together to build a 1967 Mercury M250 Highboy. The 70 F250 is a fairweather driver (but hard working truck)from California, this body will serve as the donor. The 75 F250 Highboy will provide the running gear/chasis. A spare 390 will provide power. Upgrading the front axle to a 76 Highboy Big lockout dana 44 front axle, stock rear Dana 60. Will post some pics of the Canadian - Mercury trim / hoood letters / and tailgate soon. Should be a really odd truck running around the state of Arkansas when completed.
Look forward to hearing from Arkansas members! Message me sometime for state events or just to talk trucks. Lots of spare parts laying around too I need to get out of my shop! StuV Nuke GM!

Welcome back to FTE and to the chapter. A couple of things that might interest you...

A GTG (get to-gether) in March is in the works...

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...roll-call.html

And we try to keep a monthly open topic thread going...

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ic-thread.html

There should be a new thread started in a couple of days...but anyone is welcome to stop by and BS about things going on that aren't necessarily Ford related.

Trying to figure out how to get a signature at the bottom of my messages - Any help is appreciated!!
I also need to get 25 posts so I can start listing all the Ford truck parts for sale laying around my shop......the list is very long. I have tried 12 step programs with no luck......still addicted to old Ford steel.

Welcome back, and to the Arkansas Chapter, I'm pretty sure you have to have 25 posts for the sig too. What motor is in the excursion?

My 00 Excursion was bought new at Dobb's Ford in Memphis in July 2000. My wife tagged a deer in it a few years ago so it has a SD grille on it. The V-10 has 190,009 miles on it as of today.....It is one fine running truck.

Nice looking trucks you have. Dont feel bad about to many projects. I have 3 (in my sig) 4 if you count the lowering kit I want to put on my 94. Gonna have to buy several more trucks so I can get the two 77s built how I want them.

I only feel bad because my darling wife gripes at me a little too often for piddling in my shop.
My 14 year old son will be driving soon so I have good reason for a father/son project....he needs to know how to work on them if he will be driving them. Theen there is the 13 year old, I know he will want to be in on the action too. PM me if you have specific needs for your 77's!
Just posted a pic of my 64 Fairlane Thunderbolt clone I recently sold. I regret selling it.

Welcome back to FTE, and while we're at it, welcome to the Arkansas Chapter

I live in McRae but work in Searcy, hit me up sometime I'd love to check out your trucks.

Your signature is in your user control panel, but I'm pretty sure you have to have 20 posts to add one, thats the magic number to be able to pm someone too.

Thanks for the nice comments about my old trucks. I have been fortunate to have solid rust free trucks to start builds with over the years. I have to slow down with this hobby - it's wearing me out. Your '77 F250 is going to be a true beast when you get done with her!! Add a Stripe kit and make a true disco rig out of her!! The 70's were an awesome time for Ford trucks!

Still trying to figure out the PM feature. I will send you my mobile number and we can try and meet for truck talk. I live north of Searcy near White Co. Central School and also work in Searcy -
