That I was leaving you guys! Well I am not so you can all sleep better now. Due to some changes in the AF I am no longer eligible to PCS. So now that I have sold Mater, I am now on the hunt for another 73-79 truck. I would prefer an F250 crew cab 4x4, so if you see one let me know. As long as it is a crew cab or extended cab and 4x4, I am interested!

Well, this is good news Andy.

Sucks that you sold mater and then you wound up not going, but it's all part of the bigger plan I guess. I'll keep my eye open for a truck for ya..

Dang your a man of conflict...first it's having to sell Mater to go to Italy; now your not going and don't have the truck. Maybe you can offer the guy that bought him...his money back in trade for the truck?

Glad to hear your staying.

Thanks guys, it is a bitter sweet for us. It would have been something neat to experience though. But now all the stress we were under with the new baby and moving is gone. I would like an F250 but I still have the lift and rims for an F150. We will see, I am looking at a 79 with a rebuilt 429 right now! We will see!!!

So, for the sake of discussion...do you know how long your going to stationed at LRAFB? My brother-in-law just left there last fall headed to Laughn AFB. I can't use the real term for where they live now...not fit for FTE publication.

I could possibly finish my career here. I'm not sure if we will try and get orders again.

No, it was all kinds of rigged together. Just had a bad feeling about it. I found a 78 F250 that is about 95% restored. I am waiting to get my taxes so I can go get it.

Well I drove 4 hours to Nixa, Mo to look at a 78 F250. Well needless to say I didn't get it. There was a lot more rust than the guy even claimed to know about. He wasn't very happy when I told him it wasn't worth half of what he was asking. Oh well, the hunt is still on for my extended cab F250 4x4!

Dang, you were starting to get close to where I'm exiled. Been through Nixa many times going to Cotter.

Don't guess you'd be interested in a Duce & half? I know where one of those is sitting for sale

Yeah we were pretty far up there. I would love a set of those axles once I get my F250! I haven't found much of anything I like and the one I did find is in Az!

Well I guess this means you're no longer in need of a tailgate?

I had forgot about having it until you mentioned it, if you dont need it I may put it up on the forum or ebay.. I could use the extra $$

yeah Joe, I don't need it now. Thanks though, I'm sure you will be able to get a pretty penny for it!
