An old trick we used to use to find oil leaks on British bikes was to clean everything with carb or brake cleaner (absolutely dry)
and use spray foot powder (like Desenex) on the engine.
The white film will show the leak right away.
Don't run it long, because oil travels and you'll lose the exact spot.

I would have taken you to be a Harley man
Boy labor costs are insane

?
The mechanic said he didn't see anything. Now he wants to just get paid another 2k and take it to someone else. He said he has it 90%. Only leaks a little. Said he might shave the 2k down to 1200.00. As bad as it has been, I really would like him to just pull the motor and send it back to promar. They want it back at this point so they can take a look at it. I really don't want to be in the middle of two mechanics, both blaming the other. Have to wait for some checks to clear so I can get the truck back. I'll have to wait anyway until promar reimburses me for the two rear main seal jobs. Ain't life great;(

There are plenty of borescopes on the market.
Major tool makers (Bosch, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Ridgid, General..)have handheld units for $150-200.
In fact, there was a thread the other day in the 'Garage & Workshop' forum about an inexpensive fiberoptic scope that plugs into the USB port of a laptop for $40 or so.
It has dimmable LED "headlights"
Read Tom's review here...

Don't know what you'd see from there though, you can't see the seal itself without removing the flywheel
The flywheel bolts up pretty tight and this 'scope is 3/8" diameter.
When my engine came it had the remains of a Victor/Reinz engine gasket set to install the covers etc...
I don't think it's down to a cheap seal.
If you HAVE determined that the oil is coming from behind the flywheel, it could only be the RMS, the gallery plugs or the back end of the cam.
EDIT: found this pic in a thread today.
I was wondering what the crank surface that the seal rides on looks like.
Did they install a Speedi Sleeve when they had it apart this last time?
Have you (or your mechanic) measured for end play in the crank?

Promar balking
Promar is on the same team as the mechanic. They seam to want to screw me over too. The mechanic changed there rear main seal and it leaked. The Promar told him to pull the tranny and flywheel to make sure it was not something else and it wasn't. So the mechanic replaced the seal again and re-installed the tranny. Now it still leaks, But, not bad. I haven't seen any oil to talk of so I can run it until I can afford to have the engine pulled again. The mechanic charged 1200 for doing this twice and Promar is saying that's to much. I'll have to talk to them via phone tomorrow. Unbelievable!
