Using a Ford Quick Connect tool on fuel, A/C, etc. lines
See following video. Gist of it occurs at 1:52, and is the clearest video I've found of just how the tool does its job. Previous written descriptions I came across were a complete waste of time.
You posted this just in time for me.
I bought a used tank to put in my 93 F-250. Unfortunatly the plastic fuel line removal tools i bought to disconnect the lines, didn't work. Luckly the seller let me sawzall the lines to get the tank out of his truck.
I went to Oreillys to get that tool you demonstrate, but they didn't have it, I guess I'll try Autizone next.
I need to find the right tool so I can get the old lines off the new tank and my old tank, as well as change the fuel filters in both of my trucks.

There are two different styles that are used- The first is the garter spring style shown there, the second is a finger spring style. It's a pain to deal with because the fingers fit in between the ends of the tools and then are not released. I have found that, if using the cheap tool, going with a size or two bigger than needed so the tool forms a complete ring works well.
