Dip stick plug

I have been working on the motor out of my 74 f100 4x4 I know that the motor was replaced by the P/O it's a 390. The issue i have at this point is there is a hole in the block next to the oil filter housing. I believe this is from a car or 2x4 dip stick. The P/O stuck a piece vac hose in there and put a screw In the end of it to tighten it up. I would like to correct this what's the best way to do that

I have used cup plugs to plug those holes. Most auto parts stores carry an assortment of sizes.

A little Permatex and a couple taps with a hammer is all it takes.

Good luck.

Yeah, the same little plugs they use in the ends of the oil gallies.
