Picked up our new toy! Very impressed with the towing power!
Just returned from northern Vermont picking up our new camper. The new toy is 32' long and has a GVWR of 8200lbs. My Ecoboost performed amazingly!!!! I could not believe the performance out of this little V6! I am never in a rush when i'm towing especially with 32' of trailer so i set the cruise at 62mph and just enjoy the ride. Let me tell you that my truck never skipped a beat and on the biggest hills it might have down shifted to 4th but never went over 2500 rpm's to maintain 62 mph! I have owned the truck for 7 months, racked up 7000mi and it still puts a smile on my face everytime i get behind the wheel!!

When I hooked up my car hauler to a eco it felt very similar power wise when I have my modded 7.3L towing it. Only thing I noticed was it felt mushy and the trailer sway control was kicking on (which worked wonderful by the way)
I did not check tire pressure but it felt like the tires were flat. ALthough they looked normal.
Empty the eco was approx 10mph faster in a 1000 ft than my 7.3L was.
Close to the 6.7L I also tested, and the 3.73 eco was 5mph faster than the 3.15 tested the same day. I only pulled the large trailer with the 3.73 version eco.
I also noticed the eco trans temp was 199 deg towing 60mph on level ground. I was very surprised by that. Seemed high

That's great! Nice looking trailer. I am still trying to decide which truck to buy when I can afford it and have been thinking about the F150. The other thing is that I would like to tow the boat too with a trailer but the tow rating of the F150 would limit me to the lowest ultralight trailer with a 3200 lb. boat.

8000lbs. Thats with a 3.31 geared 4x4 with a 157" wheelbase!

5th and 6th gears are overdrive. 4th is NOT 1:1 Direct Drive, it like .8 so when it shifts there's no wonder it can pull.
I have an eco too but don't be so impressed because it tows good in 4th. If 4th was "drive" like in most vehicles, you would either be at a higher rpm (for more power) or down in third
