Un- heated seat

I've searched and found, but never quite matched these symptoms.

Any ideas where to start, or should I just use a Visa card?

Passenger seat heats up great.

Driver's seat seems to turns on initially, but then the red light indicators on the dash turn off turn off by themselves within 1 minute. Once they go out, passenger's seat won't work either.

Park the car and come back after awhile, indicator lights will come on again but go off within a minute.

Seems to me something in the driver's seat must be tripping a breaker. Any ideas on what that "something" might be?

Thanks for anything!

Had problems on both sides at 25k. Something about resistance and the heating element, I think. Dealer fixed under warranty.
