BURNSTOUGHFORD is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Differences in a 99 F-150 4.6l and a 97 Cougar 4.6l

I pulled a 99' 4.6l from my F-150 a few years back for a 5.4l swap.

Anyways my brothers 97 cougar's 4.6l is getting tired and has been poorly taken care of.

From my memory, i believe that the non PI 2v 4.6l engines where the same accross the line from ford. I dont think there is any reason this engine wouldnt litterly drop in and go.

Anybody know more on this?

JohhnyLangton? I know you got to be around here somewhere.

Only thing I can think of ,is the timing covers may need to be swapped over for the accessories to bolt in the proper position. And they might be the same.
Also the intake manifold may hook up differently but not sure. You cold just swap that if needed.
other then that it will go right in there.

Same hp/tq output right? I dont think there was any differences in the car/truck non PI motors as in cam grind or anything.

hodges710 is starting off with a positive reputation.
The only difference that I believe you would run into is the intake for the style they used on the cars were different from the trucks/suv.
