Paddle mirrors wont move up and down

Paddle mirrors wont move up and down
My mirrors will move right and left but up and down just make a clicking sound. Whats wrong?

My mirrors did that and I replaced them with towing mirrors and still didn't work. I replaced the toggle switch thingy and they work perfect. I think it's only like $25 or so for the switch and is super easy to do. I would start there. You might be able to clean the contacts in your switch but idk if that'll work.

If you hear the clicking, I don't think it's the toggle switch thingy.

But if both mirrors are doing the same thing? coincidence? Either that or they are both all the way up or down and need to be manually re-centered.

I can hear the motor spinning in the morror just wont move the morror, yes both of them do it. I can move then right and left.

The switch only gives it power clicky= power... No clicky = no power.

Ok now it makes sence to me... Previous owner's kids played around with the mirrors until they wore out the damn plastic gear inside the mirror housing.
