That must have been the oil company I heard about. Sometimes I get my states messed up! Crazy how people complain about the economy and lack of jobs and a big company wants to step in and build and a few people screw it up for the majority

We've got Hyperion Energy trying to get approval to build a new refinery in this area. The environmentalists are having a fit and filing lawsuits every time the company gets one step further. This area is just barely limping along economically and the 1200+ jobs the refinery would create would be a nice boost.
Now, Rob, I'm sure that refinery would ruin the habitat for some usless bug, or ******* frog, or something.....

There are so few people here opposed to it, a group of 15 residents that didn't want it managed to recruit the Sierra Club to come in and fight the battle for them. What a joke.

I guess we are surrounded by natural beauty here... all I see are flat fields, some with corn, some with soy beans. This entire county in South Dakota is just one big flood plain for the Missouri River.

We have to deal with the Corps of engineers always trying to lower the water level on us, to try and preserve some damn ugly sturgeon, that no one fishes for, and seems to serve no useful purpose.

We have lake sturgeon in lake Champlain. Big trouble if you keep one
