Morning all,

Happy Thursday!

Ryan - it's nice to know that I'm not the only one! LOL! It's hurts to think that my own daughter is that ungrateful.

Jim - Jimmy told me to tell them the same thing. LOL! It sucks when your torn because on one hand I wanted too & on the other I didn't have alot of choice. If someone wasn't there for the gas co.,they wouldv'e left & probably waited until today to come back out & turn it on. Then my water pipes wouldv'e frozen & burst. UGH!...kids!
Joe- I think our kids try to hurt us intentionally sometimes! Time to put my foot down - TOUGH LOVE! I swear, sometimes I think my kids are going to be the death of me!

Pat - I'm really hoping that he didn't lose his job! We can barely keep our utilities on as it is & were getting shut off notices every month for one thing or another. We end up paying just enough to keep it on for another month & then another shut off notice! I can't wait until our tax return comes in so we can bring our bills to current & pay my 4runner off. That'll help save some $ once that's paid off!

Thanks Steve! I hope it goes better today too!

Good Morning Nevada! Another beautiful spring day to enjoy. (Forget what the calendar says, it is spring weather, so it must be spring!) And Donna, today HAS to be better than yesterday. Keep your chin up!

Good morning gang.

Donna, next time they tell you that you need to do such and such, I hope you tell them that they need to do it themselves.

Moms deserve better! Hope it evens out and that Jimmy is good with his job.

Cheers.

Thanks guys! Friends like you are always great at cheering me up! Thanks for being here for me.

Yes...I'm sooo done right now! The cold water pipes are frozen & trying to thaw out. I went & priced a new gas water heater $395 (probably replace it w/in a yr.) & priced electric heat cable (I thought it was called heat tape?) for the pipes. $23 for 6 feet at Home Depot. I wrote it down & left! If they want the pipes thawed...they can buy the **** themselves!!! Why do I have to buy all this stuff? I'm letting them live there RENT FREE! All they have to pay is the $250 land rent & their utilities.(I pay the water) Their getting off cheap! Hell, I used to rent my house for $650 & I paid the water! I think it's time that they step up to the plate & do some **** for themselves.
I shut my cellphone off for the day, am drinking a nice Screwdriver,& after Jimmy goes back to work(his fulltime job) after lunch...I think I'm going to treat myself to a relaxing tanning session!

Hey Donna, I have a solution for the shut off notices. I'll park my Bronco at the entrance to your property, and anyone who comes out to turn something off, I will shoot! That should keep everything turned on.

Seriously, I know the feeling, I am in the same boat. I fully expect to get a shut off notice from PG&E. However, I heard that the Salvation Army has resumed making a one time payment to utility companies. Maybe you can check your local SA office to see if they can help. Out here, you have to show them either a 15 day notice, or a 3 day notice, and then they will pay the bill. I am behind, and may end up getting one. If so, I will go down and see if they can help. Have to get there early though. They only help so many per day. The last time I needed their help I was over $200 behind, and they paid it. Can only do it once every 3 years.

Jim

Donna,

FYI, our pipes are wrapped with old t-shirts, and duct tape and they have yet to freeze over since doing that. Save you some $$$.

Aawww...Pacific Gas & Electric?! I remember them! Memories(sigh)..makes me wish I was back in California. I don't think they pay the phone bill & that's what's next for a disconnect notice. Then, back to the electric & internet bills. Gas bill is current for now - thank God!

My mobile is one of those old metal w/ metal roof ones! I think it's a 1976? So, it has the galvalized pipes. I'll keep that in mind though & possible try it. Couldn't hurt, right?
But hey...atleast it's 4 walls & a roof, nothing leaks & everything works (when the pipes aren't froze) - knock on wood! Jimmy said he wrapped the main pipes with fiberglass wall insulation, so you'd think that they wouldn't freeze. Hmm?

Yeah, I think the fiberglass insulation would be more effective than t-shirts and duct tape. (Unless there was still a warm body in the t-shirts LOL)

Yeah, the Salvation Army will only pay the electric/gas bills, not the phone.

Happy Friday Nevada! It seems like its been fooorrreeeeevver since I've been on here; I've been extremely busy between work and working on our house projects that we'd been putting off until we got our tax return. We got it and we've been working feverishly to get it all looking purdy for when my parents come to stay with us next week. How's everybody been?

Donna- sorry to hear about your headaches with your kids and your bills. I think we can all sympathize with you on being behind on bills. We are most definitely living paycheck to paycheck.
