different 8ba rods

Can someone tell me the difference in the 8BA rods? I have a 49 V8 I'm rebuilding. I have a mixed set and need to make a complete set. Motor came with only three rods with no oil squirting hole. I have Some with a small nub with a squirting hole and I also have some with just a hole drilled for the oil squirter. Which would be the best to use?

oldmerc is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
They used to weld over the squirt holes to boost oil pressure . Squirt holes are required for proper oiling .

Those squirters are there to squirt cool oil inside the pistons. I would make sure all the rods had squirters.
