With a gravel driveway and no garage I don't have the best spot for any maintainence that requires me to be on the ground. Sadly I take the Ox to the local shop for oil changes. A lack of time and resources lend you to do things you don't wish to do.

I too have a gravel driveway, but I installed a Fumoto oil drain valve to make oil changes easier to do them myself!

That would be a good idea and is likely in the near future. Next house must have a paved driveway. My only other issue is the sideways location of the oil filter on the 5.4L

Get one before the next oil change, mine is right there on the underside.

I must investigate this. Whether I stay put or move, it would definitely be an asset to me. The filter is a piece of cake though - I can reach in through the left fender and get it...lol.

lol.. my side lot is nothing but gravel and thats where i do all my maintenance on the vehicles... ive never had a problem there... and sometimes it comes in handy... concrete limits ya to how much room below for clearance... but with gravel/dirt bottom ya can dig out from under neat to aid in clearing... like pulling and reinstalling and engine and tranny out while theyre still connected to each other without pulling the radiator core support...
