My new ride 1986 F-150

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Just bought my first Ford pickup. Its a 1986 F-150 with 98,800 original miles. It has the 300 inline 6 and a 4 speed manual. Its a 2wd base model (I have a 4x2 badge under the f-150 emblem, so not even an XL I guess?) I think that I am the third owner, probably originally owned by a wheat farmer here in the Palouse in Eastern Washington who took real good care of it. Most of the emissions stuff has been removed, but the truck runs pretty good without it. Supposedly has a new carburetor and manifolds.

I really like it so far, plus it came with a tool box and bed full of firewood!

Thanks for the welcome. I had my eye on this truck for 10 months before I finally got the money to buy it but it was worth the wait!

My truck has a 4/86 build date, does anybody know when they switched to the next body style?

Nice Truck!

IIRC they started building the 87 trucks in 7 or 8 of 86
