Just a thought before you invest any bucks. While it is possible for controllers to go to heaven, it is a rare occurence. Almost anything else in the braking system is a greater suspect when problems occur than the controller. You may want to run the symptoms by so everyone here knows what you are experiencing that leads you to believe it is bad.

Of course, if you are simply wanting to update a controller, that is a different issue.

My two cents worth,

Steve

Wow, I've used those, but haven't seen one in a good many years. They worked fine in their day, but I bet most folks here would agree with me an update would be reasonable. Prodigy was mentioned and is certainly a good controller. I use a Hayes G2 which is comparable.

In my opinion, all the digital models with accelerameters work very well with the priniciple difference being the bells and whistles. I favor models that provide diagnositic information as they make it so much easier to troubleshoot and they are not that much more expensive.

If you tow almost never, probably the cheapest controller you can find will meet your needs.

My thoughts,

Steve

yea shes old school, i dont do alot of towing, but i do enough to justify getting something middle of the road. ill do a little looking around and see what i can come up with,

Dose the number of axles matter when chooseing a controller? its a triaxle gooseneck with brakes on all three axles

Thanks guys
Brandon

To the best of my knowledge, all controllers will handle tri-axles. Anyone know of any exceptions?
