I took captains chairs and a console from a bronco and just drilled holes in the floor and used washers for shims.

What I am worried about is the nuts rattling off going down the back roads. Could we weld it some how.

If you're handy with a drill and/or welder, you can make anything fit !! I took the 40/20/40 seats from a '96 Supercab, and fitted em into my '87 Reg cab that had a standard bench. And when it was all said and done, it's a whole bolt in assembly that didn't require any drilling into the floorboards!

During....drilled all the spotwelds out of the one-piece frame

Welded the "feet" from the original bracket to the new one-piece

And bolted in.....this is an old picture, and believe me the carpet was cleaned the next day!

Oops! Yeah I did forget to mention that, that pan came out of a '91 crew cab, the brackets that were on the seats to start with were all so they could bolt in individualy if I remember right

I looked at it today and the drivers fits fine I just need to drill a couple of holes in the floorboard and bolt it down but the passnger is the one that is giving me troubles unless I cut that bolt that sticks up and drill holes then bolt it down. I wasn't going to bolt down the console because the thing has a strap on it that I can carry it with me. Now all I need is some time and our cordless and the bolts fromt the last truck and find some nuts laying around get some lock washers and that truck will be good. I can't wait to drive this truck again it was so fun driving it the first time we bought it but then we didn't pay attention to it and problems happened but now all good as new.

Yes and the supercab rails make the seat sit higher on a reg cab/crew cab seat pan

When I put mine in, I tack welded washers to the floor board underneath, so that the floor is reinforced (an idea that was given on this site) I also welded the nuts underneath to the washers so that they wouldnt just come off. Once in a while I check the whole truck over to see if anythings loose or missing and haven't had an issue since I put mine in.

No need to weld anything. Tighten the nuts to proper torque, and if that is not enough for you, use lock nuts

One reason I did it was so that I didn't need 2 people to tighten them down.

Me and my dad looked at it last night and he said he is going to drill holes in the cab and use lock washers and nuts and bolt the thing down and then we will be ok. I have had running boards with lock washers and nuts and they haven't rattled loose on I am constantly stepping into our 02 F250 (what the running boards are on.)

2000 f250 super duty

So, what kinda seat could I replace my bench seat with? I have a 2000 f250 super duty regular cab. leather or cloth doesn't concern me, just want a direct bolt in if possible, thanks.

I think all SD seats are swap-able but I am not 100% positive. You might be able to get more concrete answers in the super-duty section. This area is mostly OBS rigs up to 1997.
