I hope you have deep pockets! C7's aren't cheap! I've been trying to pick one up for the past year. I've all but determined the price you have to pay for one isn't worth the output or the hassle. You could have a 12V or a DT360 VERY built for the cost you would put into a C7.

JMO though. It would definitely have the cool points.

 

Ok so i think i got this figured out, i still wanna go with the cat c7, im gunna go with a f550 chasis, dana 70 front and a dana 80 dually rear end. now trans mission wise i know its gm but idk if theirs a better tranny out their, so im thinking the allison. i havnt figured out what to do with the transfer case. i have and np205 right now and itd be really nice if i could some how beef it up so it could take the power, plus itd be awesome to be able to twin stick it! i do love the fact of doing an air ride suspension, cuz on board air would be really great! if anyone has anymore ideas or options i could do let me know

 

The 205 is strong, short of full billit internals I don't know if it could get any stronger. Why not go with an Atlas t-case they make a nice twin stick setup and you could even use the dig option if you wanted to. My question is what are you gonna do with your old roller chassis? I'm still looking for a front axle. Lol. Good luck with your project.
