ARP moly assembly lube
Well I'm finally getting at my 400 build. Before I start though, I would like to have some opinions on ARPs assembly lube. I am going to install a Comp Cams roller cam and want to know if I can use this stuff on my cam, cam lobes and cam bearings? The side label says it's for fastners AND other uses. The part # is 100-9903. Thanks, John

Dont do it. quick search found this from summit. There should be a small sachet of lube (probably barely enough) with the cam??
"ARP assembly lubricant is an ultra-consistent, premium-grade, moly based lubricant with rust and corrosion inhibitors. It has an effective lubrication range from -30 to 750 degrees F, with load ranges of 500,000 psi. With this lube, you can get exact torque readings because of the reduced friction. It is primary assembly lubes formulated for engine components/fasteners, press fittings, gear trains, and general machinery. ARP assembly lubricant is not recommended for use on rotating components."
I had a little bottle of permatex assembly lube that i bought with an engine rebuild kit from Tim Meyer. used very liberally and still got over 2/3rds of a bottle left and it's not a big bottle (maybe 100-150ml) just over $5 so not a bank breaker. A friend of mine was an engine builder in a past life and he used an assembly lube from STP, it came in a little tube/carton.
