Bench seat for 1988 F150 wanted

Hi all. I want to put a bench seat back in my 1988 F-150 4x4 regular cab XLT Lariat (the previous owner put some captain's chairs w/console in). The current seats wobble, and my wife wants the bench back. I'm looking on craigslist, ebay, and local junk yards, but no luck yet. Do I have to get same year, or are there other options?

Any seat from 80 through 96 f150 - f250 - f350 and 97 f250 - f350 for sure.. There are probably others but these are on the "for sure" list..

BTW....... Welcome to FTE

I see, I'm in the dead center of Wisconsin. I'm sure you could get a seat from just about any truck in a "pull a part" in your area.

I have a 89. and I want a bench seat out of a 92-96 body style, with the fold down console.

The correct XLT bench seat for your truck will be one like this I installed in my '89 Custom F150, from a '90 XLT Lariat.

That's a nice looking seat, IDIDieselJohn. I have one just like that in the exact same color in my 1985 F150.

I have experienced both the 1987 - 1991 Lariat style bench seat, and the two different 1992 - 1996 XLT bench seat styles, and I personally think the 1987 - 1991 Lariat style (pictured above) was the most comfortable bench seat.

I agree! 87-91 XLT benchs are the most comfortable ones!

But the early 80's XLT seats were the best looking
