power fold mirror question

I know this question has come up before, but i couldnt locate any threads with an answer. My question is has anyone successfully swapped 08-12 power folding/telescoping mirrors to a 08-12 superduty with just the power-heat-signal mirrrors?

I am still wanting to to this but want to make sure this is 100% possible. I have power-heat-turn signal but no power fold/telescope on my 2008 xlt. Is the wiring plug in play if i bought the mirrors and the switch panel? Does anyone have any pics of their switch assembly wiring?

a little run down,

I have a 2008 f350 xlt that I bought new (job 1), but I only have power + heated+turn signal. The power fold/telescope mirrors were only available for fx4 and lariat trucks on job 1 2008's. job 2 trucks they became an option on xlt's. I have always wanted to swap them over and 5 years later still kicking myself I didn't order the lariat like i wanted. I would trade it for a new truck, but cant bring myself to wanting another payment for some comfort creatures. I know i need both mirrors, the mirror door switch, and possibly a relay. the unknowns i have is the wiring needed vs the wiring on my truck. I know mine is 7 wires and the power fold is 11 wires, but i dont know how everything connects on the truck. Any help you can give me would be great.

Have you looked at what the power everything mirrors cost? Check that and you might scrap the project idea...

Beyond that, the wiring isn't too complicated for the non-memory power mirror setup. I really don't know, but I suspect the wiring harness may not be in place to support them since $1 worth of extra wire and connector adds up when multiplied be a few million trucks.

actually I have checked out the prices, I can get both mirrors and the switch panel for $1000....i anticipate a couple hundred more for relays and possible harness connectors that need to be changed. A small cost to pay for the convience.

I would like to thank you for the diagrams. Printed each one to add to my binder of 6.4 stuff.
