I need to look at them again. They looked like stickers to me. I guess if they are paint they are staying. The way they are flaking at that spot I mentioned previously, they look like stickers. Thanks for the heads up. I'll take a much closer look at them this evening.

 

I went outside at lunch to take a closer look. They are stickers. Was able to peel a small piece with my fingernail. What year is your X? I wonder if they were painted as opposed to stickers certain years. Can I load pics from my phone onto here? I could go out in a bit and take a quick photo. Im almost positive they are stickers. It would take some time and patience as they are 9 years old and getting all the adhesive off will be a pain. I'll let my buddy check them out and see what he thinks. Let me know if I can post photos.

 

I believe that they are all stickers unless you have a custom job...

 

My 02 is painted no doubt, dont think it has a custom paint job on it.

 

Mine is an '03 limited. I wonder if '02's and earlier had painted. If they were painted they would be staying. Does anybody know anyone with an '02 or earlier with pinstripes. I'm interested to know if this is the case and if so why ford would do that.

Not that I am aware of and I see no sign of a repaint.

 

Did the even come with factory stripes? I thought they would be dealer added. Mine came all black no striping.

I've been looking at Billet Badges - billet aluminum custom emblems and badges to order all new custom badges for the Rhino. However, if they cannot use the word "Excursion" that changes my plans a bit. I cannot deal with X-Cursion or the like. I went through the gallery and I really do dig their work. Anyone know about their limitations? Meaning, can they use 6.8L Triton V10, etc.

Anyone have experience with these good folks?

 

Yeah, we tried to do a group buy with them a few weeks (months?) back and they took forever to get us a quote back. Actually I got the quote about 2 weeks ago which I thought was funny. Their stuff is really great though, I have yet to hear one bad thing about them except for price

 

Tell him to split the badge if he can't do "Excursion".

Do a badge that says "Excur" and then a second one that says "sion". Then mate them up when you stick them on.
