Crank But No Start

Crank But No Start
I put my V-10 E350 in the garage running fine. Next day went to start and the engine turns over but won't start. Never had any check engine light or anything.
I live 20 miles from town and hate to have it towed unless absolutely necessary.
Will a code reader tell anything in this case? If so, what kind would I buy that is not too expensive.
Also, could it be a fuse in the power box to cause this?

Push the gas pedal down about an inch and see if it starts - if it does, it's the IAC.
If not, there are a few things to check - first is fuel pressure. Hook up a fuel pressure gauge and cycle the key a few times to see if it builds pressure. If it doesn't, either fuel pump, the relay, or some fuse somewhere, or even the inertial cutoff switch isn't letting power get to the fuel pump. A quick way to check if the fuel pump is failing is to whack the gas tank with a 2x4 a few times and see if it starts
If you have pressure, check spark - pull a COP, put the tip of it near metal on the engine (head/block or something substantial) and see if there is spark when cranking. If not, a fuse, or the crank sensor can be bad.
