Within the past year I have noticed a lot more oil field service companies using the 6.2 f250 for work trucks. There have always been a ton of diesel trucks here but really noticing more 6.2l's.

 

Very interesting. I'd bet some are from the V10 camp being replaced. Save some money...and get a good solid work truck in the process.

I think with all the emissions crap and expense of a diesel, people are starting to think about weather or not they actually need a diesel.

 

You can buy a whole lotta gas for $7k.

If the towing and hauling is within spec of a 6.2 with proper gearing, why not?

You don't really have to worry about all the sensors, and emissions crap on the diesel, the emissions systems on gas engines are way more mature technology than on the new diesels. No real guessing involved.
