Who's running No Limit Wide ride ?

Hey Guys,
We have the No Limit "Wide Ride" in our 1950 F1. How it compares to
other Mustang II kits I can't say but versus the sloppy stock front straight axle I had on there - big difference. No more wandering around the road with scary brakes. Was it worth the price? I think I paid around $3K with all new brake lines & master cylinder. Hmmm... Some Thoughts..
o Modern Stopping Power - I just couldn't see driving around Austin TX with a million plus folks without the best brakes possible. (I wouldn't want to drive down I95 in Ft. Lauderdale with stock drum brakes - yikes). 12 inch camaro brakes on the No Limit.
o Does it drive as smooth as glass like my other cars? No it doesn't. It's still a truck & you feel it but you can stay in your lane.
o Now that the whole project is close to completion - For what I paid for the No Limit plus installation labor ($5K) - it would have been smarter to pay $8K for a new TCI Frame with the Mustang II IFS, the 4 Bar IRS, & 4 wheel disc brakes, etc.
I recently saw this thread on front ends here & the kit Sam installed approx. $1400 delivered - Is the No Limit Wide Ride worth an extra grand or more?

The No Limit guys also hose you when it comes time to hook your power steering up - the high pressure hoses aren't included in the kit & they won't tell you the end sizes because they want you to buy it from them instead of having it made locally - stupid & unfriendly. I like the end product but I can't give them a ringing endorsement. I'd probably get the cheaper version Sam ordered or go more expensive & get the TCI full replacement chassis.

Hey Guys,
I re-read my reply & it sounded kind of negative. In the context of a full frame up restore it would have been smarter for me to start with a brand spanking new frame with all the goodies. I don't know what you guys are planning - If you aren't pulling your front clip & engine for any other reason than the installation of a new IFS. Hmmm I'd seriously debate repairing that stock front axle with all new bushings, king pins, etc. & some sort of disc brake kit. The Wide Ride installation is major surgery on your frame & you will be down for months if not longer.
If you already have your engine out & fenders off - Might be time for a new Mustang II IFS.
Good luck over there!

Hey Heavy,
I recall seeing a good no limit thread a while back - found it below. I don't want to be your (1) source of info - Look at Snook's build, SVTF100, & another Austin guy Rzns60 - They all have No Limit IFS.

Hey Heavy,
It's a good decision - you'll like the product.
Be sure to change your master cylinder to account for having disc brakes
up front. Also one oddity their instructions have you mount the coilovers upside down - supposedly for better performance - I've seen it with other suppliers as well though it still seems strange.
Take pics - I'd like to see your progress.

Hey Heavy,
That's so weird - I was just going to ask if you ordered the
kit. Good luck over there. You might want to PM RZNS60 (Kelly) - He just did his this summer - might have a few extra tips for you. It's always a little scary to cut into your frame. Plan your Steering column path when you put the No Limit in there - It's tight on the driver's side. I also was tight up in the front with the space from the radiator to the motor - think that one through. I had to use a very thin fan to make mine work - If I ad it to do over I would have mounted the no limit a bit further back toward the firewall.
