Coverage of the 2012 Barrett-Jackson Auction

 

I watched a bit this weekend and saw some nice cars but nothing that really turned my crank. Looked like the prices where coming down compared to a few years ago.

 

They should be by now. Dont get me wrong, there is some top quality cars that go through there, but I think alot of people get caught up in the fad of it, and I think its gonna die down even more yet.

Still neat to see alot of the vehicles. Im a vehicle, not just a ford junkie, so i enjoy seeing the huge variety.

 

Since, as you all know by now, I`m a total Ford freak I do get bored alot.

if you guys were watching on saturday lot 1277 red 32 ford boydster was another one of my uncles cars that went for $300,000

 

I remember that last year his car was impressive as well - how did this one compare to that one - investment, quality, market differences???

 

I think the roadster he built and sold last year was a better car than the Foose designed boydster. Almost everything on the first one was hand made/built

The boydster was a car to flip for profit

 

Did he tell ya Chris, if he made pretty good coin on it?

 

i dont usually ask but im assuming he made something in the neighborhod of 75-100k
