9ft/lbs on the wheel. Good to know. Should I employ the use of loctite or would the heat negate any locking qualities it has?

They make a high heat locktite I used it on my exhaust clamp bolts and it helped, it says 600* but I think it is fine for exhaust I couldn't find anything with a higher heat rating.

Rebuild kit ordered last night! Should I use assembly lube when I put it all back together? I am also thinking about having it balanced just to be safe. I am sure I can get the wheel back on pretty close but at the RPMs turbos spin at, just a hair off could cause major problems. Unless I am just being too cautious about it.

The compressor wheel and the turbine / shaft assembly should be both be balanced so that where you install it doesn't matter that much. I would get them both balanced though. Call one of the turbo rebuilding places and ask them about locktite & assembly lube.

What kind of miles should you expect out of the Banks before a rebuild is necessary?

It depends on many factors such as heat and wheel balance but I personally think you should get at least 200K but my ATS 088 from Quintin went 475K before it got rebuilt along with the engine as PM.

Search ebay for TE06H and buy one of those kits. There are only a few people selling them but the kits look identical. I have not gotten my rebuild kit yet. It was shipped to an old address and I am still trying to track it down so I can't speak for quality just yet.

Guess what I just picked up! Yep, I got the rebuild kit. Stay tuned for the CHRA disassembly video.

Man, I wish I had a camera and a tripod. I'll do my best with the iPhone.
