'94 F150 4WD Engaging Problem
My guy has an '94 F150 truck. He recently had the transmission along with the transfer case go bad. We had them rebulit. While the transfer case was out of the truck we were playing with the shift on the fly switch and the system shifted and clicked into 4WD even without the case. After we got the parts back we took them on a simple test drive, locked the hubs and took off. It worked like a charm. Two weeks age he went to engage the 4WD and the amber light would not switch on along with none of the normal clicks and locks. So this past weekend we went to junkyards and found a new SOTF part and replaced the old one. No good, we still have the problem. Then after seeing an old thread post he took off the passenger kick plate and cleaned the control module for the 4WD. Noticed the prongs are a little bent. We are going to check on this later this week but has anyone else had this type of issue before?? We have checked fuses too. Neither of the switches worked. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also his oil pressure gage has the tendency to freak out. When he is parked it twitches all around, but when he is driving is generally shows the correct pressure. Any other ideas??
Thanks
Jaz
