hey guys , i know this is an old thread but came up on my search, im looking to buy new rubber seals for my 79 top, and i am curious if there is much differance between the after market stuff and the OEM stuff quality wise or is it the old get what you pay for thing, thanks!

National Parts Depot has original (if available) and repops. JBG has originals too. I've used both and I couldn't tell any difference in quality. Of course original Ford is a little more. Some Ford dealers used to get classic Ford parts for you, before the internet. I've installed window felts, door, windshield and top weatherstripping aftermarket and some original on multiple 78/79 Broncos and F150's and 250's. They all can be a pain at times. One trick is to get them warm when installing....and make SURE surface is CLEAN! If you think it is clean enough....CLEAN IT AGAIN!!! Hope this helps!
