I have a 2004 f150 supercrew 5.4 3v with center consel shifter my engine and tranny are blown.So i have found a wrecked 2005 navigator . the drivetrain is fine still runs .so i know the engine swap would be fine but how about the tranny it is the 6-speed ZF 6HP26 automatic could i swap the whole engine ,tranny ,shifter and pcm computer over to the f150 .Thanks for any input on what problems i might run into.

 

I believe there is a thread somewhere on here where someone wanted to simply put the six speed tranny in our body style f150s. The conclusion on the thread was the electronics wouldn't communicate with one another. If you change the PCM it might make it possible. There is a tranny guru on here so hopefully he sees this thread and gives you more advice.

 

If you take everything then you should be OK as you are making it simply and replacing it all rather then trying to connect two different systems.

 

I think it will work with the computer from the Navigator as well.

 

I have an 06 navigator with a blown motor and was wondering if the 5.4 3 valve out of an f 150 would work on the the navigators 6 speed transmission
