HR-1 brake valve

I have an 87 F700 with an HR-1 brake valve mounted on the firewall. It seems to have developed a leak. Is it something that can be rebuilt? Do they typically leak at a fitting? It seems to be leaking from between the mounting bolts in the back, not near a fitting. Could it just develope a crack in the housing? Lots of hoses to remove to dissasemble, so I want to know what I am getting into first. Thanks

probably an o ring leaking between the two halfs of the housing.. Getting to the age where all the o rings will be going bad..

This is a girling brake system right? Hydraulic over Hydraulic?

Ok, I did not know the valve split in half. I do believe its Hydraulic over Hydraulic. I do not think there is air for the parking brake. Is the oring repair a tough job? Do I need to by a kit or just size up the orings at the parts store? I would do all of them while I had it apart.

She's getting old, but very reliable. Thanks for your help..

Look on the valve, see if it has an ID number stamped on it, like: D7HT-2B257-AB.

The VIN contains 17 digits. Please post the 5th-6th-7th.

Bill, I ordered the part and it came in different. I sent it back. I just noticed the original E5H1 number I gave you, and the one you referenced (E5HT) for the cross to Ford's number was different. Is it possible you could look it up again? I really appreciate your helping me with this. Old trucks are becoming harder to find parts for!!
Would a photo help??
