So iv decided to do this swap on my 95 flair side. Iv seen a few pictures and general instructions on doing this. I found my axle (78 bronco)already and will start this project in a month. Does any one have any tips or suggestions from previous experiance?

 

I would highly recommend heading over to fullsizebronco.com and checking out the sas forum over there, they have every answer, tip, and trick in the book from half ton to one ton from leafs to coils to 4 link.
I have been lurking over there myself trying to learn all I can so that i'm ready when the time comes for me to slap some one tons under my 85.

 

Are u putting 44s on ur truck or some thing??

Also, I'm in the "gathering parts" phase of SAS'ing my 88 ranger to run 38's on it. Also running 78 bronco axles.

 

You need at least 4" of lift to run the solid axle

 

Iv gotta a home made 6" lift in front. What kind of spring packs do u guys use inthe back to get these things higher.? Iv snapped a few springs in the back an want to replace the any way.....

 

I'm probably not gonna run bigger than 38's, but I have a heavy foot and a pin it to win it kind of driving style so want the extra strength of one tons. That and at some point my 351 cleveland will be twin turbo'd so i'm gonna need some serious strength for that
