AXLE SWAP QUESTIONS

So I have a 78 f150 with a ford 9 in the rear and dana 44 up front, and a parts truck with a dana 60 in the rear, is there a way I could take the dana 60 from the rear and swap it in for the dana 44 up front?

Honestly i don't know really much with axles but i think as long as the mounts line up and the drive line fits it should work. But i don't know how the locking system would work for 4wd.

Wouldn't you be able to mate the turning set up from the D44 to the D60?
